Moving Boxes &
Packing Supplies
Everything you need for a safe, organized move — available at our Monroe office for pickup or delivered right to your door with your move.
The Right Box Makes
All the Difference
A successful move starts long before the truck arrives. It starts with packing — and packing starts with having the right supplies. At Citywide Moving Systems, we sell professional-grade moving boxes and packing materials at our Monroe office so you can prepare for your move with the same supplies our crews trust every day on the job.
Unlike the thin, recycled boxes you might find at a big box store, our moving boxes are built to stack, built to hold weight, and built to protect your belongings in transit. They are the same double-walled corrugated boxes that professional movers use across the country — designed specifically for household goods, not leftover retail packaging repurposed as moving boxes.
Whether you are packing yourself or just need a few extra boxes for items our crew will handle, we have what you need. Stop by our office at 2722 Chamber Drive in Monroe, or ask about having supplies delivered with your move. And be sure to ask about our exclusive call-in specials — we regularly offer discounted supply bundles for customers who call ahead.

Professional-Grade Boxes
for Every Room
We carry the full range of moving box sizes and specialty boxes so you can pack everything from paperbacks to evening gowns.
Small Boxes (1.5 cu ft)
The workhorse of any move. Ideal for books, canned goods, tools, small kitchen appliances, and anything heavy. A smaller box means you can fill it to the top without making it too heavy to carry safely. Experienced movers will tell you: more small boxes are always better than fewer large ones.
Medium Boxes (3.0 cu ft)
The most versatile size in your moving kit. Perfect for pots and pans, toys, shoes, bathroom items, and small electronics. Medium boxes strike the balance between capacity and portability — large enough to hold a meaningful amount of items, compact enough for one person to carry comfortably.
Large Boxes (4.5 cu ft)
Designed for lightweight, bulky items like linens, pillows, lampshades, comforters, and stuffed animals. The key with large boxes is to never fill them with heavy items — pack light and you will avoid crushed boxes and strained backs.
Wardrobe Boxes
Tall, sturdy boxes with a built-in metal hanging bar so your clothes can travel on hangers, wrinkle-free. Simply transfer garments straight from the closet into the box. No folding, no ironing on the other end. Particularly valuable for suits, dresses, uniforms, and formal wear.
Dish Pack Boxes
Extra-thick double-walled boxes with reinforced corners, engineered specifically for fragile kitchen items. Dishes, glassware, china, stemware, and ceramic pieces all benefit from the added crush protection that standard boxes simply cannot provide. Combine with cell dividers for maximum safety.
Picture & Mirror Boxes
Telescoping flat boxes that adjust to fit framed artwork, mirrors, glass tabletops, and flat-screen televisions. The adjustable design means a snug fit regardless of the exact dimensions, eliminating the shifting and rattling that damages frames and cracks glass during transport.
Protect What Matters Most
Boxes hold your belongings, but packing materials protect them. The difference between a scratch-free arrival and a damage claim often comes down to what you wrapped things in.
Bubble Wrap
Cushioning protection for fragile items like glassware, ceramics, electronics, and decorative pieces. Wrap individual items before placing them in boxes. The air-filled bubbles absorb impact and vibration that would otherwise chip, crack, or shatter delicate surfaces during the bumps and jolts of transit.
Packing Paper
Clean, unprinted newsprint paper that won't leave ink stains on your dishes, glassware, or fabrics. Use it to wrap individual items, fill voids inside boxes, and cushion layers between stacked plates. Packing paper is the professional mover's secret weapon — cheaper than bubble wrap and often more effective for everyday dishware.
Packing Tape & Dispensers
Professional-grade shipping tape that holds boxes shut under load. Standard masking tape and duct tape are not strong enough for moving boxes — they peel under stress, especially in heat. Our heavy-duty packing tape with a handheld dispenser lets you seal boxes quickly and securely.
Permanent Markers
Label every box on at least two sides with the room destination and a brief contents summary. Proper labeling turns unloading day from a guessing game into an efficient process. Our thick, permanent markers write clearly on corrugated cardboard and won't smear or fade.
Mattress Bags
Heavy-duty poly bags that slip over mattresses and box springs to shield them from dirt, moisture, stains, and tearing during the move. Even if your mattress is going straight from one bedroom to another, the trip through doorways, down stairs, and across a truck bed exposes it to grime you do not want in your sleeping space.
Box Cutters & Labels
Round out your supply kit with sharp box cutters for unpacking day and color-coded labels for room-by-room organization. Small investments that pay big dividends in efficiency. Color-coded labels let movers place boxes in the right rooms without reading every label.
Beyond Boxes:
Professional-Grade Protection
Some items need more than cardboard and tape. Furniture surfaces scratch. Upholstery snags. Glass corners chip. Our specialty supplies address the protection gaps that standard packing materials cannot fill — the same products our moving crews rely on every day to deliver furniture in the same condition it left.
Furniture Pads & Moving Blankets
Thick quilted pads that wrap around dressers, tables, headboards, and other large furniture to prevent scratches, dents, and surface damage. Our pads are the same commercial-grade blankets our crews use on every move — far heavier and more protective than the thin blankets sold at hardware stores.
Stretch Wrap
Clear plastic film that clings to itself without adhesive, so it never leaves sticky residue on your furniture. Wrap drawers shut, bundle table legs together, secure moving blankets in place, and protect upholstered furniture from dirt and moisture. Stretch wrap is the most underrated supply in the moving industry.
Corner Protectors
Rigid plastic or foam guards that clip onto furniture corners, countertop edges, and glass table corners. Corners are the most vulnerable point on any piece of furniture — they catch on doorframes, truck walls, and other items in transit. A two-dollar protector can prevent hundreds of dollars in damage.
Furniture Sliders
Felt or plastic discs placed under heavy furniture legs to glide pieces across hardwood, tile, and carpet without scratching floors or straining backs. Essential for repositioning furniture in your new home once the movers have set it down.
Packing Tips from the Pros
Start with the Right Size
Match box size to item weight. Heavy items like books go in small boxes. Light bulky items like pillows go in large boxes. This prevents crushed boxes and keeps loads manageable for carrying.
Fill Every Void
Empty space inside a box is your enemy. Items shift, collide, and break when there is room to move. Use crumpled packing paper, bubble wrap, or clean towels to fill gaps until the box feels solid when gently shaken.
Label on Two Sides
Mark the destination room and a brief contents list on at least two sides of every box. When boxes are stacked in the truck, you can only see one or two faces — labeling multiple sides ensures the information is always visible.
Don't Over-Tape the Top
One strip of tape down the center seam and one strip across each end is all you need. Over-taping makes boxes difficult to open on the other end and creates a mess of shredded tape and cardboard during unpacking.
Pack a First-Night Box
Set aside one clearly labeled box with essentials: toilet paper, paper towels, phone chargers, medications, a change of clothes, basic tools, and snacks. This box goes on the truck last and comes off first.
Why Buy Supplies from
Your Moving Company?
Purpose-Built Sizes
Moving boxes are not the same as shipping boxes. Our boxes are sized to standard household items — dish packs fit dishes, wardrobe boxes fit hanging clothes. Retail stores sell generic sizes that often do not match what you actually need to pack.
Stronger Construction
Our double-walled corrugated boxes are engineered for stacking on a moving truck under load. The thinner single-wall boxes from retail stores collapse under the weight of a full truck stack, crushing the contents inside.
One-Stop Convenience
Instead of driving to three different stores to collect boxes, tape, paper, and bubble wrap, get everything in one trip from the same company that is handling your move. Or skip the trip entirely and have supplies delivered with your move.
Expert Guidance
Not sure how many boxes you need? Our staff can estimate your supply needs based on the size of your home and the scope of your move. No guessing, no running out halfway through packing, no buying twice what you need.
Call-In Specials
We offer exclusive discounts on supply bundles when you call our office directly. These specials are not available online or in stores — they are our way of rewarding customers who choose to buy from their mover.
Supports a Local Business
When you buy supplies from Citywide, you are supporting a family-owned Monroe business that has been part of this community since 1994 — not a national retail chain.
